Armed Granny Busts Granddaughter Out From Hospital

Newser reports a 66-year-old woman was arrested Saturday evening at a hotel in Louisiana. The arrest came after a rather extraordinary day on the lam with her 12-year-old granddaughter. Police say that an armed Evelyn Miller on Friday afternoon when she walked into a hospital in Jefferson Parish. Apparently, her intention was to walk out with Adreana Miller. When hospital staff attempted to prevent her from leaving with the child, she pointed a firearm at several of them. Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office While escaping the building, she pushed one nurse to the ground and struck a security guard with her vehicle. Evelyn Miller will be extradited to Jefferson Parish; she is charged with suspicion of kidnapping.
